 India is fast developing as knowledge-based economy, and the frontiers of knowledge extend to the financial services sector as well. The contribution of the sector to the overall economy is quite significant, and whatever has been achieved is through the spread of awareness by the Insurers, Banks, MFs, AMCs etc. and the intermediaries at all levels.
The training for the prescribed courses by the regulators have provided the breakthrough. But the million dollar question is how to sustain and strengthen the level of the breakthrough. The higher levels of the knowledge inputs provide the key to the success in the emerging scenario. financial planning is aimed at enhancing the core competence of the intermediaries in the financial sector. It has the blessings of the major players in the financial sector. RNIS College of Financial Planning (RNIS-CFP) launched in 2004 has been doing a Yeoman’s service in the spread of the awareness and has acted as a catalyst for many a student, who enrolled themselves with RNIS-CFP, and catapulted them into higher levels of core competence.
